H.H. Backer Christmas Trade Show 2008 Competition Winner is Announced!

The Backer show this year was extremely successful for CASCO. We were lucky enough to team up with PET AGE magazine, Pacific Store Designs and PetPowerRadio.com to offer one winner a $30,000+ store remodel. 

The prize package included $25,000 worth of animal display fixtures (including aquatics, small animal, bird & service centers)  from CASCO, a $5,000 store redesign plan from PSD and $1,380 in-store radio and advertising station specific to the winning store provided by PetPowerRadio.com.

The 600 sq. ft. CASCO makeover booth stood tall the main lobby of the convention center. With the help of live animals in all the displays and its location we had no issues staying busy with visitors. The booth was filled from as early as 8:30 on the first day until show close at 6pm.

The winner of our $30,000 competition was none other than Creative Landscaping Feed and Garden Center, drawn on Sunday afternoon by the Trade Show coordinator, Colette Fairchild. Even though the owner and winner, Dave Milam wasn’t present at the drawing, after we called him he was pleased.  

Creative Landscaping Feed and Garden Center is located in Pekin, Illinois. The store is about 2,000 sq. ft. filled with fish and other pet products. Being primarily a landscaping business during the warmer months, Mr. Milam is looking forward to adding various animal display units throughout the store to attract customers year-round.  

Mr. Milam is quite a craftsman himself and is excited about being able to add his own flare and expertise to the project. Creative Landscaping Feed and Garden Center definitely has some changes in store for it over the next few months and will be taking on a nice little makeover!
