A Whale of a Tank
CASCO have been involved in another high profile project. Last year we supplied a tank to house the largest ever preserved specimen of a giant squid for the Natural History Museum. And in January 07 we have supplied a tank to house the remains of the 'Thames Whale' who tragically died in the Thames last year after taking a wrong turn.
The Whale will be on display in the Guardian Newspapers Gallery in Farringdon road for a week commencing 22 January and it will then make a move to a permanent home at the Natural History Museum. The specimen has not been preserved for public curiosity alone as it will provide a valuable research specimen enabling scientists to learn more about the species and perhaps the reasons why they get stranded and lost.
