‘The waiting is finally over & CASCO is proud to announce the winner of the 2009 £20,000 shop refit’

After just over three months of gathering entries from PPM, an agonising selection process started for the judges to select just one lucky winner of the £20,000 shop refit.

CASCO can announce officially that the winner of the 2009 competition is Waterside Garden Centre in Peterborough.

The design caught the judging panels’ eye for many reasons, the main of which was how efficiently they fitted CASCO products into their shop space and how well they made the design work. It was obvious from the design sheet how much time and effort Waterside had put in to the entry. The layout had been thought through in great detail and they had even included a colour scheme and scale in the design. Waterside’s creation will be a superb looking shop as well as a great boost for the business.

Waterside were ecstatic to be receiving the £20,000 shop refit and Jill Molyneux (receiving a bottle of champagne from UK Sales Manager Ian Blinco) said, ‘I was over the moon when CASCO called to tell me I had won the competition. I never win anything, not even the village tombola. This will make such a difference to our aquatic department and no longer will I look with envy at the smart tanks in other shops as we will now have our own. Thank you very much CASCO and PPM’

Matthew Bubear Managing Director of CASCO, said, ‘It was a very difficult decision, but in the end it came down to the fact that Waterside had made that extra effort and thought outside the box. The use of colour and scale was great and their thinking about the fixtures chosen and fitting placement was innovative. We are looking forward to working with Jill and her team during the installation and re-fitting of their aquatics department’.

Over the coming months you will be able to follow the Waterside Garden Centre story and see the results of the store transformation. As the design comes to life the layout will be revealed, products will be installed and finally the reveal will show the amazing transformation CASCO produced for Waterside Garden Centre!
